Working with Digital Content

With MAM, you are able to tag, classify, categorize and index your digital content. You can also group your content into a directory. Using the SQL database, you can set keyword to your digital assets. You can also add as many new database fields to help you retrieve and keep track all your digital assets.

The Needs to Stream and Manage Digital Content
People in the broadcast industry know that their customer wants instant access to the digital content. This is sometimes called Video-on-Demand, parts of many other On-Demand services. MAM can be used store, manage and index those streaming assets and the Media Server will access those assets for the streaming media delivery, to the clients.

What Can this Software Do?
This software can accept any type of digital assets, which then can be uploaded into the user area (personalized directory/folder). From here, depending whether you are an Administrator or a user, you are entitled to set the permissions and rights to the digital assets. This software is especially built to work with streaming server. For digital assets, which are media type (Audio, Video, Images, SMIL, Flash, etc), MAM is able to stream instantly from the same server system. This is a huge benefit for people in the streaming media industry whether you are a player or a user. Depending on the installed application software in your personal computer, MAM is able to work with supported document types. For example if you clicked on a PDF (Portable Document format by Adobe) type, the IE5.x (Internet Explorer) browser will instantly activate the ActiveX which enable you view or edit that document. Likewise, if you open an asset which is .DOC, the browser will immediately open the Microsoft Word® ActiveX within the IE5.x browser. You will be able to read, view, modify and save the same document.

Versatile and Evolving
MAM is built on top of non-proprietary, publicly available development tools and platform. This is to guarantee that MAM runs across as many back-end servers and can be accessed from as many clients/desktops as possible.

Plug-in Upgrade
There are few plug-ins and upgrades, which can be integrated with MAM. They will help MAM users to access additional features, and perform more functions.
